Pastoral Care

St Mary's strives to create a secure, happy environment in which pupils can learn successfully and develop their talents. There is a whole school structured approach to Pastoral Care under the direction and guidance of a Pastoral Co-ordinator for each Key Stage, and a Form Teacher for each class. In Years 8-12 each class has a Form Teacher who meets their class each day.

The Form Teacher is a key figure in the Pastoral System, and has a detailed knowledge of the needs, emotional development, progress and academic attainment of pupils in his/her Form Class.

St Mary's offers a comprehensive programme of Personal and Social Education (PSE) which includes Relationship and Sexuality Education (RSE), Drugs and Alcohol education and Anti-Bullying education.
